"After what I saw on Eden Prime,
I'm not holding back anymore.
Not against the Geth,
not against anyone."
Keith Alejos was born to Raphael and Ellen Alejos in 1979, with this brother Luciano already around to cause problems for the younger Alejos. With his mother Ellen being Canadian and Raphael being American, both Keith and Luciano were pushed to gain their dual citizenship in Canada and United States, something that is very big in the family; the Alejoses are proud of who they are, and where they came from because they wouldn’t be anything if they weren’t proud of where they came from and how they got there. This was a mentality that Keith has kept with him through growing up, and through most of his life. The Alejos family lead a pretty active lifestyle - their father owned Alejos International, an aerospace company that focused on US Military planes as well as trying to get into space, and so at a young age the boys were hit with a love of flying. For Keith this also meant he was gaining a love of business as well, wanting to become a pilot like his mother and maybe eventually take over the family company. So he studied hard and he worked his way through school at the family company, making sure he could earn his own money and make sure he earned what could be coming to him.

When he was 18, he had decided he wanted to become a pilot and so he joined the US Air Force. At first, it was hard to be away from his family and friends, but he soon learned to make his own friends in the USAF. He studied hard while in the USAF, and managed to work in the Department of Computer Science when he wasn't flying or going on missions. The amount of pride that he had in serving his country and serving with the USAF helped to form Keith into the man that he is today. When he turned 28, after ten years in the USAF, Keith left to work for his family's company. It was interesting to get back into Maui, Hawaii, to try to live a civilian life, and for a little bit, Keith very clearly struggled. He missed the camaraderie that came with the USAF, and it wasn't something he was really getting at home.

Of course, he had his relationship with his brother Luciano, and the two of them were pretty much inseparable. Luciano was everything that Keith wasn't - in the way that the older brother loved the spotlight of being a Alejos a lot more than Keith did, and so when time came to who would be taking over the company, Keith was actually worried that he wouldn't be made CEO. Of course, he figured he had years to worry about that, and instead he focused on enjoying time with his family and settling back into a normal civilian life. Or as normal as life could be.

But in 2010, a week after Keith turned 31, Raphael Alejos died of a heart attack. The weeks that followed brought a lot of sorrow and anger to the Alejos family, especially the brothers who felt their father had passed away way too soon. In the wake of everything, it was revealed that Raphael wanted to name Luciano CEO of Alejos International, while Keith would be granted any position that he chose. Keith was angry at first, feeling as though he had worked all his life for that job, to only have it ripped out from him. But soon, he realized it might be a blessing in disguise - Luciano was far more prone to doing things in the public, where Keith preferred to work behind the scenes. So Keith was named President and Chief Technology Officer, and Luciano took on the Chief Executive Officer position.

Keith has been serving as the Chief Technology Officer and President for Alejos International for six years now, and has grown to love his job. He misses flying, but he does what he can to make sure he sometimes allows himself to get his head in the clouds.

With his personal life, Keith hasn't had as much luck as he would have liked with women. He has three relationships under his belt, and the longest one was with a woman named Rahna, who he had been engaged to. The engagement ended rather quickly though, as both of them realized that getting married when they were 23 and 22 respectively might not have been the best course of action. Instead, they parted ways and decided to be friends, and Rahna ended up getting married to someone else (and Keith ended up being the Best Man in the wedding). But minus his engagement to Rahna, there have been only two serious girlfriends lasting longer than 6 months and the rest of the women he dated were only around for a month or two, maybe a little more, but never more than three to four months. It is not, of course, for lack of trying, but when he's now as focused on work as he is now, there isn't much time for dating.

In his free time, Keith likes to be active - be it rock climbing, mountain biking, or participating in triathlons, Keith has always lived a very active lifestyle. He's always felt that life is way too short to just be sitting on the couch, and this is also partly why he had enjoyed the US Air Force as much as he did. He was able to explore the world, go on adventures, and never had a dull moment. Now that Keith is a civilian, he tries his best to continue to live his life with no dull moments, but work does seem to put a damper on that from time to time.

He's also known as someone who loves to joke around, he's got a very easy going personality that not many truly understand, and he can be a bit more bohemian in ways than in others. He doesn't particularly like social rules (ie: the man has to ask the woman out, etc) and loves to hang around those who have the same modern view as him.

kaidan alenko
Kaidan Alenko is a human Sentinel and a Systems Alliance Marine. While serving aboard the SSV Normandy, he is a Staff Lieutenant and head of the ship's Marine detail. He's also an initial member of Commander Shepard's squad. Kaidan is a biotic wired with the controversial L2 implants, which are known to cause severe neurological damage to the user. However, he is fortunate enough to only suffer from occasional severe migraines.

Kaidan was born in 2151 into a family already familiar with space: his father served in the Alliance military. After his mother was downwind of a transport crash in Singapore, Kaidan was exposed in utero to element zero and beat the odds, gaining biotic potential instead of terminal brain cancer. At the time little was known about human biotics, but when the possibilities became better understood, a company called Conatix Industries was set up to track accidental eezo exposures. Children who showed enough potential to be worth augmenting with implants were 'encouraged' to attend BAaT (Biotic Acclimation and Temperance Training) which was conducted at Gagarin Station and nicknamed 'Brain Camp' by its attendees. As Kaidan tells Shepard, "[b]unch of guys in suits show up at your door after school. Next thing you know, you're out on Jump Zero."

Along with several other teenagers, including a beautiful, gentle girl named Rahna, Kaidan began his training but things went bad almost from the start. Conatix wanted to speed the work along and brought in an ex-military turian, Commander Vyrnnus, who was an expert in biotics but also a veteran of the First Contact War who disliked humans. Vyrnnus introduced himself by saying "I was at the helm of the dreadnought that killed your father", and Kaidan retorted that his father hadn't even been in the war. Vyrnnus had it in for Kaidan after that, and began pushing the teenagers very hard. Kaidan recalls: "You either came out a superman or a wreck. A lot of kids snapped. A few died." storylines

facts Served in the USAF for ten years, from 1997 to 2007 (age 18 to 28). He considers it one of the best choices he has ever made in his life, and his time served there only helped to shape the man he is proud of being today.

For a long time, Keith thought he would become the Chief Executive Officer of Trevisan International when his father Raphael Trevisan passed away. He was surprised to find his brother Luciano named the CEO when he wasn't as responsible as Keith was, and while Keith was upset at first, he harbors no ill will towards the decision.

While in the USAF, he managed to get various degrees in Computer Science and Finance. He completed his Masters recently.

Loves: Mountain climbing, skiing, camping, shooting ranges, sailing, and other adventerous activities. He hates staying inside if he can help it.

Was engaged once to a woman named Rahna but they decided to remain friends. Rahna eventually got married, and Keith served as the best man.

Is a dog person, though he hasn't had a dog since the family golden retriever Shepard (they're bad at naming animals) died in 2012.

Has a tendency to work a lot harder than his brother Luciano does, and this sometimes causes issues between the two brothers.

Has a love for jazz and jazz clubs, though he hasn't been able to go with anyone for a while. He finds that no one really is interested in dinner and dancing when they'd rather just sit on the couch and watch Netflix. This disappoints him.

Can seem a bit standoffish if he is too dedicated to his work. This has ruined a lot of relationships for Keith, but for him, his livelihood comes first. Most women don't like this, as he tends to ignore his relationships (not that he really means to).
